On October 24th, 2019, Hazelett was presented with the prestigious Business of the Year award from the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce. Governor Scott made the presentation to David Hazelett at the 109th Annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner. It was fitting that this award was presented to Hazelett in its 100th anniversary year.

Also present at the event were Congressman Peter Welch, Lieutenant Governor David Zuckerman, Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger, State Senator Dick Mazza, and other Vermont community members.

David Hazelett concluded his acceptance speech by saying “We have a thoughtful and collaborative community here that’s vital to our success. Most of all, I want to thank our employees. Without their dedication and all of your support, I would not be up here accepting this award tonight.”
